Descrizione: Zones is a tactical strategy game for 2–4 players built around perspective and positioning on a shared 8×8 grid board divided into nine zones. Players place pieces to form patterns within zones while anticipating how the board’s orientation will change from one turn to the next.
Each round, players are dealt a hand of coloured cards. On their turn, a player may spend cards to take one of three actions: place a piece into a zone, rotate the board to change the orientation of the grid, or remove an opponent’s piece from a nearby zone if certain adjacency and connection conditions are met. Because the cost to place or remove pieces depends on the rows and columns facing each player, rotating the board can dramatically change which moves are efficient or even possible.
At the end of each round, the board rotates again and dice determine which colored zones may award bonus cards for specific piece patterns. These bonuses can provide additional resources in the next round, encouraging players to build formations while disrupting their opponents’ plans.
A zone becomes locked once it is completely filled by one team’s pieces. The game ends immediately when a player or team fills two zones, securing control of them and winning the game.
