Descrizione: “Stoicheion” is an old Greek word that meant “the most basic part of something.” Most notably, it was used to describe the classical elements and the mysterious spirits made from them.
Here, you ARE a Stoicheion: a fluid being formed from different elemental energies. While prowling about some unknown part of the world, you and your companions discover a mana pool, a well of that same energy that gives you strength and vitality. So naturally, you fight over it.
The game lasts for 6 rounds. Players start each round by refilling their hand (tableau) with elemental cards from a shared deck. A shared resource pool called the mana pool is also filled. Players are randomly assigned to spaces along a board called the Leyline. Their position shows their current "Element." The adjacent elements on the Leyline determine which card effects they can use.
Players take turns completing 3 actions to move, acquire cards, and use effects. The last rounds provide boosted versions of the 3 actions. Each of the 9 Elements has a unique effect and point distribution.
After the final round, players will count points from cards in their hand that match their element on the Leyline. Highest point total wins.
