Descrizione: Parc La Fontaine is an adaption of Le Plateau for a standard deck of cards.
As in Le Plateau, players create formations on the board, which involves connecting board sides with counters. However, to place a counter on the board, they must win tricks whose cards correspond to the board's spaces.
Currently, Parc La Fontaine consists of four games:
Quartet is a four-player, fixed partnership game similar
to Whist. The number of points your team wins varies directly with the number of sides you connect. However, if your team connects all sides of the board, the other team earns points!
Trio is a three-player game. Before play starts, players bid how many board sides they can connect. The player who wins this auction plays against the other two, who play as a temporary team.
Solo is a four-player adaption of Trio. You can also play it as a fixed-partnership game.
Balance is another four-player, fixed partnership game. Your team has a limited number of counters. If you play all your counters without forming a winning formation, the opposing team automatically wins!
For the print-and-play version, you'll need a standard 52-card deck, one of the boards provided with the rules, two sets of counters of contrasting colours, and a way to keep track of scores.
