"Top Agent is a top thrilling contra espionage game for all ages, and an exciting family entertainment. Where is the Top Agent? Who will expose him? How many men do you lose in the tough game? The game setup is ever new and the solution unpredictable."
Sixty-eight chits are distributed face-down on an 8x9 grid. Ten of these are bombs, while the rest are foreign agents of varying value, including the Top Agent 'Nelson Strax' himself! Players each start from one of the empty corners with one of their own four agents (pawns) and move on the board by rolling a d6 and turning over chits for points. Finding a bomb causes the pawn to 'die' immediately and the player can start with a new one from their corner; losing all of their agents means the player is out of the rest of the game, but can keep the points collected so far.
Once 'Nelson Strax' - worth 5 points, the highest value agent in the game - has been found the game turns into a race, with each player trying to get back to their home base as fast as possible for a small points bonus by the order of arrival. Most total points at the end wins.
This game is likely from the late 1960's as the main publisher went defunct in 1969 (although the brand may have been used for some time after) and it's also the time that FinnGame was active.
