Descrizione: HOMM3B is an unpublished, author-designed tabletop adaptation inspired by the classic computer game Heroes of Might & Magic III.
It is an adventure strategy board game focused on map exploration, resource management, and tactical combat. Players reveal and connect map tiles to explore the world, collect resources, develop their castles, recruit armies, and engage in battles with neutral monsters or other players. Heroes gain experience, learn spells, and improve their abilities through skills and artifacts.
The game is scenario-driven and allows players to learn its systems gradually. It supports multiplayer scenarios with a flexible number of players, as well as solo play. The current version includes two playable factions (Knights and Dungeon), a separate Underground map connected to the surface world, and a large set of neutral creatures.
Solo play is supported through campaigns and AI reference tables used to generate automated opponent. The game uses miniatures for units of both factions and a destructible castle miniature for siege battles played on a separate tactical combat map.
This project is a long-term personal design. The goal is to recreate the core mechanics, balance, and visual feel of the original video game while adapting them to a tabletop format. The design has been developed over more than 10 years in the designer’s free time and remains in active development.
