Descrizione: Derin Su is a large, but slightly chilly, world. It is predominantly ocean. Ignoring the polar ice sheets, which are impressively large, a lot of the land surface in the northern hemisphere is tundra.
The idea was to create a world for those who want to include a naval and/or amphibious element in their game. There is also potential for under-sea action as well.
Whilst suited to use with an opponent, this book does allow the scenarios to be played solo. It introduces the idea of Dice Modified Negotiations. These allow the solo player to oversee the negotiations between various parties.
Although written for Hellfire 6mm sci fi rules, these are generic and the scenarios can easily be tweaked for other systems. Indeed, several times it has struck me that Derin Su is also an interesting world for those wanting a more Hell by Starlight level of skirmish. Given Hellfire and Hell by Starlight have some overlap, it’s not difficult to redefine Hellfire troop types to fit the skirmish rule set.
