Descrizione: One player takes on the role of the fox (1), another the vixen (2), and the others each take on a hunter and his dog.
At the start of the game, the foxes sit in the main hole in the middle, and the hunters, each with their dog, sit on one of the 4 red circles in the corners of the game board. The hunters and dogs try to kill the foxes, while the foxes try to win one of the 4 corner circles. Whoever completes their task first wins.
To advance from one space to the next, a die is rolled. The order of rolling the die is:
1. Fox, 2. Vixen, 3. Hunter I, 4. Dog I, 5. Hunter II, 6. Dog II, etc.
The hunters can only advance on the black lines and only with a roll of 1, 2 or 3; but can shoot from one space to another - unless these are only connected by red lines - and if they hit with a roll of 5 or 6, they can roll again if they roll 4.
The dogs advance if they roll 1, 2, 3 or 4, but only on the blue lines with 1, 2, 3; on the red lines only with 1. If they have caught the fox or vixen, they kill them on the next roll - if they have not moved out in the meantime - with a roll of 5 or 6, and another roll if they roll 4.
The foxes advance on all lines with 1, 2, 3 or 4, and on the red lines without even rolling the die when it is their turn. Each player can forego his throw if he wants to remain in a favorable position.
The game was published about 1918.
