Descrizione: Drunk Cowboy is a tabletop skirmish game played with dice and luck. Roll to move, roll to shoot and with a little luck you’ll be the last greenhorn standing.
How do you play? Good question! Roll a die, if it’s a 2-5 move that many inches in the direction the 1 is facing, and if you roll a 1 or 6, you get to take a shot at your opponent! If you hit, there’s a hit chart. 5 wounds and your character is out of the game.
I wrote Drunk Cowboy over the course of a few months and launched version 1 at Portland Zine Fest 2023. It was a huge hit and I had a ton of fun demoing the game all weekend. Striving to make it better, a friend and I played it far too much and we reworked the dice mechanics to make it far more dynamic. Version 2 is twice the fun and I’m very excited to be relaunching it as part of ZineQuest 2024. I’ve been creating zines since the late 80’s, and my college degree was in traditional book binding techniques.
