Descrizione: おもんぱかる (omompakaru) is a co-operative word game from Japan. Players use cards with specific questions to reach an understanding of the secret word. If everybody agrees they have made the same association, they declare what they are thinking. If any player is thinking of something different, everybody loses that round.
All the cards, the theme cards and the question cards, are written in Japanese and English.
An example goes like this:
Subject card [animal].
Mr A: Clue card "How many letters*? → "Two letters." (*kana)
Mr B: Clue card "What is your weak point? → "Monkey"
Mr C: "Ah, okay."
ABD: "Shall we go then?"
Mr C: "Let's go! That one, eh, that one?"
ABCD: "Se-no*." (*Japanese cry of enthusiasm!)
ACD: 'Dog' = associated with dogs and monkeys
B: "Crab" = associated with the Monkey-Crab War
-Challenge failure! -A: 'I'm not a good player!'
事例：お題カード【動物】
Aさん：ヒントカード【何文字？】→「２文字」
Bくん：ヒントカード【苦手なものは？】→「さるで」
Cさん：「あーわかった」
ABD：「じゃあいく？」
