Descrizione: Word Slam! is a rummy-type word game with a large deck -- 232 letter cards in 4 suits, and 62 special cards. In a round, each player is dealt 12 cards. In their turn a player first either draws 2 cards from the deck, or discards 2 cards and then draws 4 from the deck, or draws any card from the discard row (which they must use to make a new word) along with all discards following it. Than they may do all the following as much as they wish: play words from their hand, add letters from their hand to words on the table to make new words, and play special cards; and they then end their turn by discarding a card. When a player empties their hand the round ends and players score the cards in front of them. The first player to 500 points wins the game. The special cards are: Wild: Stands for any letter. It cannot be the first letter of a word, and only one Wild per word is allowed. 2X, 3X: Doubles or triples the value of the word it is played on. Only one is allowed per word. Word Slam!: An attempt to cancel a played word. The Slam player and the word owner each draw a card, and the one with the higher-valued draw wins. If the word owner wins, they score the word immediately; either way the word is removed from play. Steal: Lets a player steal a played word from another player, unless the owner can guess the color (suit) of another card played by the stealer. Shield: Played on a word (only if it matches the first letter's color), and protects it from being Slammed, Stolen, or added to. The dealer may always ignore Shield cards. Switch: Force another player to swap hands with you. When a word is scored, its value is the sum of the values of its letter cards, doubled if they are all the same color, with added bonuses (for 3 or more of the same letter, beginning with the "Hot Letter" (the last card dealt), having 8+ letters, etc.), and finally multiplied by 2X or 3X if present. Letters still in a player's tray at the end of a round are subtracted from their score if their color matches that of a card drawn from the deck by the player who went out.
