Descrizione: Hotzone's core game is a 1v0 or 1v1 board builder where a defending team is protecting a building from an attacking team trying to rob it. Defending teams consist of a single Security Chief and a hand full of Response cards granting them increased influence on the board, and Attacking teams consist of three individual Operatives working together, controlled by one person. Setup is cooperative, with each team taking turns placing a tile to make a 4x4 map grid. Defenders place tiles face down to hide their contents while Attackers place them face up. During gameplay, the Security Chief can move swiftly over un-flipped tiles, while the Attackers flip the tiles over as they move to reveal their contents. Both Defense and Attack teams select their Operatives from a deck of characters, equip them in a draft format from a deck of equipment, and augment them from a deck of Masterminds serving as the "leader" of the team. Attacker teams are all kept hidden until the defender discovers them during the game. Gameplay itself is a back and forth, with each character activating, moving, and responding to things they encounter. Attacking teams infiltrate through stairs, windows, or an Airlock tile, and spread out over the board in search of Bounty Caches which hold the Bounty credits they need to live. The Security Chief tries to stop them, either by using guards they assigned to tiles earlier, their own abilities, or the Response cards they have. Once the Attacking team feels they've collected enough they extract through similar extraction points. Gameplay becomes a careful balance between scouting fast, staying safe, getting out quick, but maintaining enough board presence to collect what you need to win. When all the attackers are either dead, collected, or escape, points are tallied based on who survived, who was captured, and what was taken. Highest point value wins! —description from the designer
