Descrizione: Glis Glis is a cooperative board game developed by Editorial SJS and Fundación Lirón Lirón as part of the educational project “Jugar x Jugar” (Playing just for playing). In the game, players join the Game Squad, a team tasked with rescuing various rodents trapped within the Limboneiric, a symbolic space where cards represent cooperative challenges and collective calculations. Glis Glis’s system was inspired by the traditional Ecuadorian game Forty (El 40). The exact-sum or same-number capture mechanic was adapted to create a narrative and collaborative experience. Each type of rodent introduces a different way of playing, linked to its behavior in nature: The Mole, shy and subterranean, hides below the ground and can only be rescued through “clear-outs.” The Mara, fast and territorial, taps its cards from the table border to reach distant goals. The Flying Squirrel soars when its cards are launched over others, rescuing any cards it lands on. The Chinchilla, communicative and social, allows you to sing out a card from your hand when entering or leaving the Limboneiric. The jumping and unpredictable Allactaga, a coin toss will define whether it achieves or fails the rescue. The game features 40 different missions, divided into 4 difficulty levels. Each mission has specific goals, defeat conditions, and the exclusion of one type of rodent. Matches consist of 4 consecutive missions, creating a natural, replayable progression that allows the game to adapt to different groups and ages. With 15–20 minute matches for 2–6 players, Glis Glis combines light strategy, nonverbal communication, and physical skills with calculation, coordination, and humor to create a unique ludic experience. The game celebrates empathy, cooperation, and the value of learning through play. —description from the publisher
