Descrizione: Alien 8 Jr. is a fun-filled game of competitive counting. Add your alien totals to score 20.
Rocket reversals, space walks, and asteroid strikes may help or hurt, but stay the course and complete your quest to keep your stars!
Objective: Be the last player with at least one star remaining.
Setup: Separate the star cards and give everyone 3. Shuffle the remaining deck and hand out three cards to each player. The cards left over are the draw pile. The shortest player goes first.
Play: The count starts at zero and progresses to 20. The first player discards one card from their hand and begins the count. Play continues clockwise. As each player discards, he/she adds and announces the new count total, then draws a new card from the draw pile. Each player must play a card without going over 20. If a player cannot play a card that keeps the total at or less than 20, that player loses a star and the round ends. The cards are reshuffled, dealt, and a new round starts from zero.
The last player with at least one remaining star wins!
Each alien has a point value, while the following cards have special values and rules for play:
A rocket ship reverses play and doesn't change the count
An astronaut is a pass and 'floats by' your turn. It doesn't change the count
An asteroid subtracts 5 points from the count total
A jellyfish alien immediately takes the count total to 20. If the count is already 20, this card simply keeps the total at 20
A planet card is worth either 1 or 5, announced by the player who plays it
A telescope card subtracts 10 points from the count total
