Descrizione: Welcome to Phố Phở! The Head Chef is retiring and has challenged you all to a cook-off to see who deserves to inherit their famous, secret recipe. You'll be competing at a single, chaotic street stall, all trying to impress the Chef by serving a line of very picky customers.
Your goal is simple: be the first to skillfully use all your ingredients. The Chef hates waste, so any cards left in your hand at the end of a round will earn their disapproval!
Phố Phở is a fast-paced, "hand-shedding" card game where you're all playing cards to a single, shared "bowl" to fulfill customer orders.
On your turn, you have one of three simple options:
1) Play one ingredient card.
2) Draw one card (and hope it's useful!).
3) Pass for the round (and accept the Chef's disappointment).
To serve a customer, you'll take turns adding cards to the bowl. A new order always starts with a '1' Noodle card. From there, players must play a card that matches the last number played or is the next highest value (e.g., on a '3', you can play another '3' or a '4'). An order is finished once it reaches '5' and someone plays the final 'Bill' card.
The core of the game is managing their preferences, which is your main way to help yourself... or sabotage your rivals.
😋 Customer Likes: Play an ingredient a customer loves, and all players still in the round get to flip a negative "mad face" favor token to its positive "happy face" side!
😠 Customer Dislikes: This is where the kitchen gets nasty. If you (or a rival) play an ingredient a customer hates, they storm off angry! The bowl is immediately discarded, and all players must flip one of their positive favor tokens to the negative side. This is a perfect, painful way to punish a player who is about to win the round.
If you can't play a card (or just don't want to), you can pass. When the round ends, you'll be penalized, flipping a positive token to its negative side for each unique number value left in your hand. The round ends when all players have passed OR one player skillfully plays their very last card. That player is rewarded by stealing one positive favor token from each rival who hasn't passed yet!
The game continues until a special "Royal Customer" has been served or one player has managed to flip all their negative tokens. Players then tally their positive favor tokens, and the player with the most becomes the new Head Chef and inherits the restaurant!
