Descrizione: In Lapidary Legends, you are an aspiring master gemcutter competing for the attention of the famed artisan Brin Dota of The Stunning Globe. She has been entrusted with restoring the Aqualis Heart, a colossal magical gemstone that powers the great pump at the center of Neavine, holding back the ocean itself.
To earn your place on her project, you must prove your skill.
Using specialized tools, careful timing, and steady precision, you will cut and refine your own gemstone, balancing ambition with restraint. Cut too deep and you risk ruining its value. Stop too soon and your work may lack brilliance.
Only the most perfectly crafted gem will impress Brin, and secure your legacy as a true Lapidary Legend.
How It Plays
In Lapidary Legends, players compete over eight rounds to craft the most impressive gemstone for Brin Dota.
Each round begins with a Buy Phase, where players draft specialized tool cards from a shared market—dops, index gears, polishing compounds, and more. The tools you choose shape your strategy. Will you focus on precision? Speed? Long-term scoring potential?
In the Cut Phase, players use their purchased tools to physically remove tiles from their gemstone. Each facet must be carefully shaped layer by layer. Removing tiles earns coins, but the real challenge is restraint: cut too deep and you can damage the value of a facet. Stop too soon and you may miss higher rewards.
Polish cards allow you to protect your work and fine-tune your scoring, adding another layer of timing and tactical depth.
At the end of the game, players score based on how well each facet has been crafted, how efficiently they earned coins, and the precision of their cuts. The gemcutter who balances ambition and control most skillfully wins.

Lapidary Legends came from the idea "what if the tiles in Carcassonne were different shapes and not just squares". How would those tiles fit with each other. I started playing around with that idea and looking at what resulted reminded me of diagrams of gemstones. Then the idea "what if there was a game where players could compete to cut a gemstone?" Then hours of research into the art of lapidary and faceting. Lapidary Legends was born and I think what is left is a fun and unique experience.
