Descrizione: Sibelius’ compositions drew Finland’s borderlines into the world map, in an age when the state of Finland had yet to attain its independence. How did this semi-orphan son of a young widow grow into a revered maestro, who rubbed shoulders with kings and presidents? And what is synesthesia, and how did it affect the composer’s life? In this game, you can relive Sibelius’ childhood in Hämeenlinna and his final years in Ainola in Järvenpää, join him in his studies abroad, take part in both his solitary and family travels around the world, and witness the creation of a Finnish identity for a fledgling nation. The players’ movements around the game board are dictated by dice-throws and governed by a set of rules, which are supplemented by a history section.
This game was published for the 100th anniversary of Finnish independence in 2017.
