In Steamboat Mogul, players deliver colorful cargo cards to fulfill a mix of order cards over five structured rounds. Each round introduces new order combinations and tighter cargo constraints, forcing players to adapt and optimize every turn.
The game blends hand management, open drafting, and timed interaction through:
A dynamic river market with three face-up discard piles. Players may discard matching cards here—or draw from them instead of the deck.
A shared cargo storage pile where players must discard a card each turn—but other players can instantly snatch it by calling out “I want it!”
A tight economy of cargo cards where every card counts: you get exactly what you need, but you’ll need to trade, store, or intercept smartly to succeed.
Simultaneous competition for limited cards and the race to be the first to complete all orders and end the round.
