Descrizione: Part of the Black Site Studios Zine line of simple rulesets, Ghostwatcher is a tabletop miniatures game where players control a team of ghost hunters that are live streaming their exploration of a mansion in search of paranormal activity.
Ghostwatcher consists of three main phases:
Stream phase: the hunters search the rooms in the mansion hoping to find the figments that will provide necessary information about the house's ghost.
Spirit phase: the spirit tries to increase the hunters' fear level by doing things like moving furniture, triggering special events or straight up attacking them. Once the hunters find all the the figments and the spirit materializes in the physical realm, the spirit phase changes to the Banishment Ritual where the ghost will directly target the hunters.
Audience phase: hunters can spend earned Audience Points to gain special benefits to assist them in their hunt.
The main gameplay is based on a simple D6 system where hunters roll dice equal to their skill value. Result of 6 are successes while a 1 result will increase the team's fear level. If the fear level gets too high, the team becomes too scared to finish their investigation and the players lose.
