Nomi alternativi: Seiðruna, Seithruna
Descrizione: In Seiðruna, two players compete for the favor of fickle spirits by using elemental runes to craft precise ritual patterns.
On a turn, a player drafts a card from the central market, adding the card and its associated token to the corresponding position on their board. Over multiple turns, the player will draft cards based on various traits to create specific four-card patterns on their player board. With these patterns, the player invokes spirits, with four invocations forming the victory condition for the game.
Cards, once drafted, possess latent magic in the form of their rune tokens. While in a player's position, these runes can be used to manipulate the player's board. On a turn, before or after drafting, a player may "burn" one of the rune tokens on their player board, activating the burn effect of that rune. Some runes allow the player to manipulate their cards and tokens together, while others manipulate tokens while leaving cards untouched. Once burned, a rune token is permanently lost. Careful management of burn effects will enable high impact turns and clever invocations from unexpected positions.
Every rune has a unique and predictable effect, but with a catch: Each rune has two forms, and the form visible to one player will be upside-down from the perspective of the opponent. In this face-to-face game, the two players will be competing over the same set of cards in an open draft format, but the cards available to one player will be mirrored for their opponent. In this way, two players with the same market and the same available spirits will face very different conditions and will need to keep track of both their own options and their inverted counterparts.
